About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team at Align Technology, Inc. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our automated treatment planning software for the Invisalign product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clinical experts, project managers, and software developers to analyze specifications and requirements, and lead testing activities to ensure the quality of the final product.
  • Design and extend automatic test systems for complex problem domains in a regulated medical environment.
  • Develop and review functional, regression, performance, and integration testing solutions using test automation tools.
  • Perform exploratory testing to quickly uncover problems and guide the development of more formal test scripts.
  • Troubleshoot and triage manually reported problems and feedback, and formalize into bug reports and test cases.
  • Contribute to project planning, estimation, and sizing of testing activities.
  • Participate in release preparation, software verification, and maintenance of test coverage.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience in commercial software development.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in similar positions in an enterprise/commercial environment.
  • Deep understanding and 5+ years of practical experience with Python, tools, methodologies, and frameworks for automatic software testing.
  • Experience with Test Management, Build Management, Software Configuration Management, Change Management, and Release Management activities.
  • Experience in writing and maintenance of technical documentation.
