Job Description:

The Director, Financial Planning and Analysis plays a critical role in leading the Financial Planning & Analysis department at TRU. As a senior finance leader, you will be responsible for overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and financial statement reviews.

You will work closely with Deans, Managers, and the Executive team to provide financial advice and support. Your expertise will be instrumental in implementing the university's strategic plan, particularly in achieving financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans and directs the functions of budgeting and financial planning.

  • Participates in developing short and long-term financial plans for Financial Services.

  • Develops and implements operational plans and objectives that support organizational and departmental plans.

  • Leads a professional, knowledgeable, and innovative team to deliver the goals and objectives of the University.

  • Manages the finance team by establishing goals, objectives, and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Canadian accounting designation.

  • Post-secondary degree (preferably in business).

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a financial leadership role.
