Key Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Dust furniture and other surfaces to maintain a clean and tidy appearance
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture to remove dirt and debris
  • Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Clean and disinfect elevators to ensure a safe and clean environment for users
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and tidy environment
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as required
  • Wash windows, walls and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy appearance
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Repetitive tasks and attention to detail
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling and combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weight handling
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Excellent oral communication and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The work site environment is non-smoking and the work setting is an apartment/condominium complex, cleaning service company, and various locations.

Education and Experience:

No degree, certificate or diploma is required. Previous experience in this field of employment is an asset.

Security and Safety:

A criminal record check and driving record check (abstract) are required. A valid driver's licence is also required.

Transportation and Travel:

A vehicle is supplied by the employer.

Personal Suitability:

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player, and have a strong work ethic.
