Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Crisis Response Nurse to join our team in North Vancouver, BC. As a Crisis Response Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing mental health and addictions care to clients within our designated program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health status exams and risk assessments for designated clients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including crisis intervention and case management.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Three (3) years' recent experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and substance use issues.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and ability to travel locally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client-centered model of care.
  • Knowledge of mental illness, treatment, and crisis intervention theory.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
