About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Director to join our team. As a key member of our sales leadership, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our presence in the Americas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive embedded support and licensing sales with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ISV partners, ensuring their success and satisfaction with Canonical's offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Alliances, Sales, Business Development, and Marketing, to identify new business opportunities and develop joint go-to-market strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts with new and existing ISV partners, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Identify and develop partnerships that support Canonical's strategic ambitions, driving revenue growth and market expansion.

Requirements

  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path.
  • A passion for technology and extensive experience with software and SaaS industry, Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred), open source ecosystem, cloud models, and container service offerings.
  • Experience with lead generation and business development in the software sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
  • Outstanding business English writing and presentation skills.
  • A personal drive to meet commitments and a track record of delivering beyond expectations.
  • A commitment to leadership, skills development, and mentorship.
