Job Description:

A Department Student Council President is responsible for advocating on behalf of students in their department. This role requires leadership skills and the ability to plan and execute events tailored to the department's specific needs.

About the Position:

This is an 8-month term position, starting from September 1st and ending on April 30th. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the Academics Commissioner and attending regular meetings to discuss departmental matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Advocate for student interests within the department
  • Organize and execute academic and social events for the department
  • Attend Arts and Science Faculty Board meetings
  • Coordinate USAT evaluations
  • Submit a budget, strategic plan, and constitution to the Academics Commissioner
  • Participate in DSC Assembly and attend monthly meetings with the Academics Commissioner
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $15,000-$20,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. However, please note that the exact salary will be determined based on the organization's policies and procedures.
