Canada Post Corp is currently seeking a Post Office Assistant to join our team in St-Léonard, New Brunswick. As a Post Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing counter services to customers, selling postal products and services, and sorting and processing mail.

The ideal candidate will have high school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration, as well as training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment. You should also be physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail and stand for extended periods of time.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sell postal products and services to the business community and public
  • Sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate classifications
  • Provide customers with information and forms
  • Address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly

Requirements:

  • High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration
  • Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment
  • Understanding of general or post office accounting systems
  • Physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail and stand for extended periods of time
