About the Role

Big Feet is seeking a highly skilled Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation
    • Administer evaluative tests and procedures to assess patient needs and develop treatment plans.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify patient goals and objectives.
  • Patient Care and Support
    • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
    • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.
  • Treatment and Rehabilitation
    • Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet patient needs.
  • Administrative and Clerical Duties
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports.
    • Process claims and handle administrative tasks related to patient care.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve patient goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule
    • 32 hours per week.
