Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of situational awareness and take necessary precautions to prevent accidents
  • Analyze diagrams and schematics to inform work procedures
  • Operate hoists and lifts to position machinery safely
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and diagnostic work on vehicles
  • Stay current with industry standards and regulations
  • Assist less experienced operators and maintenance personnel in their development


Requirements and Preferences:



  • A 3rd or 4th year apprentice or journeyman heavy duty mechanic certification is required
  • Consideration may be given to candidates with CVIP
  • Field mechanic experience will be considered
  • A valid Class 1 license is preferred, but Class 3 or 5 will be considered
  • Heavy equipment technician experience is an asset
  • Safe driving skills and a clean driver's abstract are necessary
  • Physical fitness, including heavy lifting, is required
  • Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
