Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Raw Materials Development and Advanced Concepts teams to ensure quality and compliance of new materials during the development and testing stages.


• Review and approve material specifications, test reports, and physical samples to ensure they meet the brand's quality standards and requirements.


• Develop and implement seasonal test plans for monitoring the performance of materials in Sales Rep Samples (SRS) and bulk production.


• Provide technical guidance to suppliers and labs on the brand's quality standards, testing, and requirements.


• Analyze and resolve quality issues at the bulk production stage, including gathering information, conducting assessments, and providing feedback to suppliers and factories.


• Develop regular reports on material quality and performance, as well as support the documentation of processes and workflows.


• Uphold the Fair Labor Association's Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc'teryx supply chain.


• Partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to achieve excellence in material quality.



Requirements:


  • Minimum bachelor's degree in textiles or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in materials quality, materials development, or textile production.
  • Deep knowledge of textile fibers, production processes, and standard test methods for quality testing.
  • Ability to make decisions independently and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance autonomy and collaboration, and inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement.
