Job Summary

The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in the healthcare team by providing clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning patient care, comfort, and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist providers with patient care and treatment plans
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
  • Conduct basic life support and other medical procedures as needed

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with AAMA or RMA certification
  • Documented successful completion of courses in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and pharmacology
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license awarded by the State of Wisconsin
  • Healthcare experience

Work Environment

The Medical Assistant will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, serving patients in the Neillsville Region Sites, including Stratford, Colby, Greenwood, and Neillsville.
