Long Haul Truck Driver

Fast Freight Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.
- Load and unload goods, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate records and reporting any issues or concerns.
- Communicate effectively with central dispatch, relaying information and receiving updates on cargo and transportation schedules.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to all relevant regulations and protocols.
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Valid passport
- Basic security clearance
- Criminal record check
- Driver's validity license check
- Driving record check (abstract)
- Drug test
As a Long Haul Truck Driver with Fast Freight Transport Ltd., you will be working on the road, traveling to various locations across the country. You will be required to work independently, with minimal supervision, and maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
