Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator will provide critical support to the shipping and receiving functions within the distribution team, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of merchandise. This role requires the operation of a forklift to load, unload, and secure raw materials and products, as well as perform administrative tasks related to the position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
  • Dismantle storage crates and/or containers, remove and re-crate product as necessary.
  • Report any damaged product to management for removal from inventory.
  • Complete preventative maintenance checklists for mobile and lifting equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including reporting and record-keeping.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating a Raymond Reach forklift and Counterbalance Forklift.
  • Current and valid Forklift Operator's License is an asset.
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions, with flexibility to perform overtime hours when required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Working Conditions:
