Pharmacy Assistant Job Description

At Cencora, we are committed to creating healthier futures, and our team members are at the heart of everything we do. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and registered pharmacy technicians in delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in filling prescriptions and maintaining accurate records
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to patients
  • Enter, scan, and process prescriptions using Kroll Pharmacy software
  • Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
  • Prepare and process billings, claims, and disbursements
  • Review invoices and other documentation
  • Pack and ship prescription orders according to established protocols
  • Maintain pharmacy records and report adverse events
  • Perform general housekeeping and administrative duties
Requirements:
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Pharmacy experience an asset
  • Proficiency in Kroll and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Bilingualism, French/English is an asset
