About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team at PDQ Construction Ltd. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean and lubricate cranes and other heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Assist in mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assist in Drilling and Blasting: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or recycling.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and tools.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Setting: Work in various locations, including construction sites and warehouses.
  • Physical Demands: Handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
