Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team. As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide personalized support to patients who require short-term assistance or ongoing care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and safety needs
  • Support patients with organized activities or programs, and observe and report on their mood, health, and wellbeing
  • Work under the guidance of a regulated health professional to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Communicate effectively with patients and health professionals to ensure seamless care
Requirements
  • Completion of a Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to work independently and as a team
