About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at The Chartered Professional Accountants Of Manitoba. As an Interim Financial Analyst - Reporting, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance team in preparing various financial reports and statements, including relevant research and supporting analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting
    • Support the audit process by gathering materials and collating information, as requested.
    • Contribute to the completion of monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.
    • Assist in review of biweekly accounts payable entries.
    • Support the gathering of information related to and completion of the T3010.
    • Contribute to the preparation of year-end financial statement note disclosure.
    • Contribute to the Finance & Audit Committee agenda and meeting preparation.
    • Assist with year-end and beginning-of-year duties such as general ledger reconciliations, spending policy calculations, and administrative fee calculations.
  • Finance & Banking
    • Conduct banking activity with oversight from senior Finance team members.
    • Support the processing of gifts of securities.
    • Activate and add affiliations for new grantees in the financial system.
    • Support finance area activity, including gift and tax receipting, accounts and grants payable processes, statistical reporting, fund coding and all other general accounting functions.
    • Support other finance functions and participate on internal committees, as requested.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Working towards Chartered Professional Accountant designation is an asset.
