Team Leader Opportunity for Licensed Practical Nurses

Interior Health Authority is seeking a Senior Licensed Practical Nurse to take on a Team Leader role in the Home Support Services team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced LPN to develop and enhance their first-line supervisory skills.

The ideal candidate will be confident and experienced in providing direction and assignments to staff, organizing workflow and ensuring that safe and individualized client-centered care is always delivered.

The Team Leader will coordinate Home Support Services by supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Community Health Workers and other unregulated members of the team, overseeing the implementation of client care plans, providing training and evaluation of care provided by staff, and advocating for changes that improve client care.

In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Team Leader will perform assessments, make nursing diagnoses, implement and provide personal and nursing care for clients in a community health setting.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses and three (3) years of recent, related acute, residential or community care experience including one (1) year supervisory experience;
  • Current, full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM);
  • Current valid BC Driver's License.
