Job Title: Physiotherapy Helper

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Helper to join our team at St. Catharines PhysioHeal & Massage. As a Physiotherapy Helper, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care, including carrying out treatment programs and developing information materials for patients.
  • Follow through on treatment programs with patients, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and support.
  • Help medical examiners and physical therapists with various tasks, including setting up and dismantling equipment, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Record vital signs and document patient rehabilitation progress, ensuring that accurate and up-to-date records are maintained.
  • Assist chiropractors with patient health education and operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring that the team has everything needed to provide excellent patient care.
  • Process files and paperwork, including scheduling and confirming appointments, and managing routine office functions.
Requirements:
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • High school graduation certificate and/or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a hospital/medical facility or clinic setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS Excel, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including on-call work.
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.

Work Setting:

This role is based in a hospital/medical facility or clinic setting.

Hours of Work:

30 to 40 hours per week.
