About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join our team at Accoravillage. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex civil engineering projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business growth strategies in Halifax, New Brunswick, and the Atlantic regions.
  • Promote RVA across Eastern Canada, focusing on Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland & Labrador.
  • Manage administrative duties, including financial and staff management, staff development, and mentoring.
  • Develop and execute marketing and proposals strategies.
  • Prepare and review reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Lead conceptual design and quality assurance reviews for road reconstruction and infrastructure renewal projects, stormwater projects, culverts, watermains, sanitary and storm sewers, and grading.
  • Collaborate with Civil Engineers and other project team members to deliver integrated project solutions.
  • Function as a Senior Project Manager on municipal and infrastructure renewal projects, providing project engineering and technical expertise, analysis, and quality assurance design leadership.
  • Manage Municipal Engineering projects, including scope, schedule, and budget, as well as client relationships.
  • Prepare and coordinate approvals, tender documents, cost estimating, contract documents, and reports.
  • Prepare and edit AutoCAD and Civil 3D design drawings as required.
  • Provide engineering and contract administration support for municipal projects, including site development, roads, watermains, sanitary and storm sewer systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Licensed P. Eng. with 15+ years of progressive experience in municipal engineering, with at least 10 years in a consultancy.
  • Project management (PMP) designation is an asset.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and all levels of staff in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience or aptitude for meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, client development, and other skills appropriate to consulting.
  • Proven capabilities in writing reports and other technical documents.
  • Demonstrated superior English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Valid driver's license.
