Job Summary:

Emterra Group is seeking a skilled Manual Side Load Driver to join our team in the recycling and waste industry. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating a waste collection/recycling vehicle, loading curbside materials into the truck, and ensuring assigned routes are successfully completed in a timely and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a waste collection/recycling vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Load curbside materials into the truck, adhering to company guidelines and regulations.
  • Conduct pre and post-trip inspections, completing Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service, interacting with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure all routes are completed on time, meeting company standards for productivity and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario DZ driver's license with a clean driver's abstract and CVOR.
  • Minimum one-year experience driving with a DZ license or an AZ graduate from an accredited driving school.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, with a strong emphasis on physical stamina and endurance.
  • Punctual, reliable, and a team player with excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay Types: Bonus pay, Overtime pay
