Job Summary:

As a Rigging Lead at Reel FX Creative Studios, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining character, vehicle, and prop rigs that enable animation to achieve the desired production performance. You will work closely with the Rigging Supervisor to ensure timely delivery of rigs and provide technical direction on models to meet production requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Rigging Supervisor to ensure the Animation Department receives rigs in a timely manner and with optimal rigging solutions.
  • Communicate with off-site team members on global projects and provide constructive feedback to Rigging Artists.
  • Balance available resources with project expectations and requests, and troubleshoot and maintain rig functionality during production.
  • Stay up-to-date on rigging techniques and technology, and display a positive and professional manner.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience rigging in film, video games, or television series.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Rigging Lead.
  • Proficiency in current versions of Maya and Unreal Engine, and knowledge of Python, Mel Script, and C.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to multitask and prioritize, and open to direction and change.
