About This Role


Fidelity Investments, a leading Canadian financial services company, seeks an experienced Cybersecurity Team Manager to join our Information Security and Technology Risk group.


This hybrid role combines remote and in-office work, offering a mix of flexibility and collaboration. As a Team Manager, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our information assets and critical data from current and emerging Cyber threats.


You will lead our Cyber Defense Operations (CDO) team, applying your Cybersecurity skills and knowledge to manage day-to-day operations, including team management, reporting, and executing Cyber management processes to respond to incidents.


Key Responsibilities



  • Ensure computing platform compliance with Cybersecurity policies and directives.
  • Lead Red and Blue Team exercises, conducting research, trend analysis, and correlation across various source data sets.
  • Manage and respond to Cybersecurity incidents, analyzing malicious activity and prioritizing tasks for team members.
  • Support risk mitigation efforts through technical support of processes and developing scripts for automation.
  • Develop and maintain reporting, provide application support for CDO tools, and advise on Cybersecurity policies and industry standards.
  • Lead a team of Cyber Analysts, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance for continued development and results.
  • Coordinate activities with other CDO teams and IT groups to ensure overall quality and timeliness of deliverables.

What We're Looking For



  • University degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum five years of experience as a Cybersecurity analyst, Information systems security administrator, or specialized expertise in cyber incident management, intelligence, analytics, and audit.
  • Two years of experience in management, preferably in a SOC environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives/tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be detail-oriented and process-driven.
  • Banking, finance, or wealth management industry-related experience is a plus.

The Expertise You Bring



  • Proficient experience in managing network security, UNIX and Windows operating systems security, and Database security.
  • Excellent knowledge of Cybersecurity detection and response methodologies, standards, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of security threats, common attack vectors, and the use of security tools to monitor technology infrastructure and computing environments.
  • Understanding of complex, enterprise-wide information systems security architecture and how network, application, and host-based security controls work.
  • Understanding of underlying protocols, including HTTP, HTTPS, SQL, TCP/IP, Active Directory, and experience working with Cloud Security and integration.
  • Knowledge and experience working with PCI-DSS, ISO 27000 standards, ITIL, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Good understanding of systems development life cycle and secure application development.
  • Knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery, and resiliency.
  • Advanced analytical reporting capability.
  • In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure and application technologies.
