Electrotechnician Job Description:

Job Summary:

IT UNLOCK CONSULTINC INC. is seeking an experienced Electrotechnician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, modifying, repairing, and adjusting various mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning of production equipment, including routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments.
  • PLC and PC Programming: Oversee the programming and proper functioning of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Personal Computers (PCs).
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Perform repairs and adjustments on various automated equipment, including troubleshooting and identifying equipment-related issues.
  • Modifications and Improvements: Make modifications to PLC and PC programming, optimize and improve manufacturing processes and machine sequences, and develop technical expertise for problem-solving and continuous equipment improvement.
  • Instrumentation and Automation: Be responsible for instrumentation, install various types of automated equipment, and work closely with production team members to identify equipment-related issues and find solutions.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Follow up and implement the preventive maintenance program, ensuring continuity of tasks between different shifts and applying company health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Write follow-up reports and comply with HACCP and SQF standards.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: A D.E.P. in electronics or instrumentation, two years of experience as an electrotechnician in a manufacturing environment, holder of an Electrical Certificate (C ) or C license, and experience in electrical component welding (essential).
  • Desired Skills: Strong teamwork skills, logical thinking and effective problem-solving abilities, versatile, autonomous, and adaptable, curious with a strong sense of initiative and resourcefulness, ability to work in a constantly changing environment, good manual dexterity, and must have own basic toolset.
