Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
We are seeking skilled Caregiver Specialists to join our team in the Matachewan area.
About the Role:
As a Caregiver Specialist at RhynoCare, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents. Your primary duties will include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and within the scope of practice of an RN.
Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
Ensure timely and accessible admission for residents including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
Manage resident transfers and discharges efficiently and safely.
Maintain accurate records of drug inventory, control, and safekeeping, adhering to protocols on all assigned shifts.
Requirements:
To succeed as a Caregiver Specialist at RhynoCare, you must possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent degree.
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Basic computer proficiency.
Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Able to effectively interact with others in a compassionate and supportive manner.
Respect each resident's individuality, self-respect, and right to share decisions about their care.
Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations, including the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, Health Disciplines Act, Occupation Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food and Drugs Act (Canada), Narcotic Control Act (Canada), Coroners Act, College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice, and other applicable statutes.
Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
Clear Criminal Record check.
All staff must provide proof of vaccination, adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols, and wear a mask at all times.
