Food Service Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Food Service Assistant to join our team at GJLC2 FOOD SERVICES INC. This permanent role involves working in a fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for various kitchen tasks and customer service.
About the RoleIn this role, you will assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing equipment, and sweeping/mopping floors. You will also be required to handle cash transactions, serve customers, and perform other front-of-house duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, including dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate records of food quantities used and sales data.
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, and wrapping foods.
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients.
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned by management.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and work under pressure. You must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
