Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that all waste is disposed of properly.
- Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Food Preparation: Assist with washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess efficient interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and management.
- Reliability: Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
- Multitasking: Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Dependability: Demonstrate dependability and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Newcomer Support: Assist newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition and integration into the workplace.
- Recruitment: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
- Youth Support: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and support their development in the workplace.
- Indigenous Support: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
Work Details: Permanent position, 35 hours per week, English or French language, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
