We are seeking a reliable and efficient Kitchen Helper to join our team at Antrim Truck Stop. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas.
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and other storage areas.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliability and dependability, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
- Assist with foreign credential recognition and provide support for newcomers and refugees.
- Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and provide opportunities for skill development.
- Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations.
We offer a permanent position with 35 hours of work per week and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
