Hotel Arts is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to maintain the public and employee floor areas of the Hotel Arts Complex.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2+ years of experience in Housekeeping in Hotels or janitorial services companies and be able to operate various pieces of cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning public spaces, including the lobby, fitness centre, pool area, office areas, staff locker rooms, stairwells, backspaces, and corridors.
  • Graffiti removal and power washing awnings, front drive, and entrances.
  • Carpet and upholstery cleaning as assigned.
  • Reporting of all maintenance concerns.
  • Maintaining guest room hallways and service areas.
  • Vacuuming guest room hallways as needed.
  • Collecting linens in support of Room Attendants as needed.
  • Undertaking special cleaning projects as time and seasonal bookings allow.
  • Assisting with sorting and folding of laundry as needed.

Requirements include:

  • Flexible schedule to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and experience in driving a 2-ton truck.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform other ranges of movement for long periods of time and some heavy lifting.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate and WHMIS/Chemical Handling courses an asset.
