At Engineering Search Firm Inc, we are seeking a skilled Technical Representative (Sales) to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. This outside sales role involves offering and achieving solutions through the sale, rental, and installation of scaffolding, fall protection equipment, and other products and services for medium- and long-term projects in various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify new business areas to develop and prospect new customers through cold calling and networking.
  • Respond to customer requests for quotes and conduct daily site visits to meet customer needs.
  • Liaise with customers, crews, and engineers to make changes or modifications to jobs and provide additional quotes.
  • Draw and prepare sketches for proposed scaffolding structures and prepare lists of equipment requirements and cost calculations for quotations.
  • Plan and prepare daily itineraries for site and office visits and complete contractual documents.
  • Obtain Purchase Orders and sign backs from customers and ensure that all proposed installations comply with current health and safety standards.
  • Travel to sites to meet scaffold crews and customers and monitor the status of current projects.
  • Answer technical calls and establish and nurture relationships with clients and internal departments.
Requirements
  • College level education or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in the sale of construction products, ideally in scaffolding or as an estimator in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of construction safety rules and bilingual oral and written skills.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD software and the MS-Office suite and ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
  • Ability to problem solve, work under pressure, and have a valid driver's license and own a vehicle.
  • Technical aptitude, organization, and responsibility.
