Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic - Millwright to join our team at UpSourced HR. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, aligning, and maintaining industrial machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, and generators according to layout plans.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and jacks to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
- Track and tension belts and chains as required for the purposes of conveying product or driving equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Construct foundations for machinery or direct other workers to construct foundations.
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
- Previous experience in industrial mechanics or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work at heights.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
