Mergers and Acquisitions Business Development Specialist

About the Role:
This exciting opportunity is for a highly motivated and driven individual to join our Corporate Club - M&A team as a Business Development Associate. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in identifying and qualifying acquisition opportunities that align with our company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential acquisition targets that meet our strategic criteria and specific metrics.
- Engage with target business owners, shareholders, and senior executives to discuss potential acquisition opportunities.
- Effectively communicate our investment strategy and ensure a seamless investment process.
- Develop and grow a deal pipeline through outbound sales efforts, including email, phone, conferences, trade shows, and professional contacts.
- Track activities and maintain relevant information in our CRM system.
- Generate and report on leads, set up qualified appointments, and move opportunities through the M&A pipeline.
- Provide recommendations to our senior leadership team on new targets or markets to pursue.
Requirements:
- Co-op or full-time experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
- Any experience in corporate/business development, deal sourcing, or sales is highly valued.
- A completed undergraduate degree/diploma in business or a related field is required.
- Aptitude and passion for lead generation and mining of new business opportunities.
- Demonstrated success in researching, prospecting, cold calling, pipeline management, and general sales process.
