Job Summary

The Dispatcher is a critical role within B&R Eckel's Transport, responsible for coordinating the scheduling and dispatch of drivers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles for the conveyance of oilfield-specific work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and assign drivers and trucks to specific jobs, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Provide support in a fast-paced, high-call-volume environment, assisting with operational and data entry tasks as needed.
  • Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from work crews, supervisors, and safety technicians.
  • Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
  • Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules.
  • Manage a real-time transportation database.
  • Adhere to corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Transportation industry knowledge and experience an asset.
  • Computer literacy and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Flexible and able to deal with change, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Working Conditions
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Overtime as required, with possible weekend and shift work.
