Job Title: Amorphous Steel Coremaker

A Snapshot of Your Day

The Amorphous Steel Coremaker plays a crucial role in the production of high-quality amorphous steel cores for Siemens Energy's transformers. As a key member of the Grid Technologies Business Unit, you will be responsible for setting up and adjusting equipment, manufacturing amorphous steel cores according to specifications, and ensuring raw materials compliance and production quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manufacture amorphous steel cores in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
  • Verify raw materials compliance and production quality to meet Siemens Energy's high standards.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Set programs and make equipment adjustments as needed.
  • Complete self-check forms to ensure compliance with raw materials and processes.
  • Feed raw materials to equipment during production using appropriate lifting equipment.
  • Record required information, such as the weight of amorphous cores, according to established procedures.
  • Form cores according to established procedures, attach, and identify them.
  • Transfer products to the next stage of production.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order, including lubrication and part replacement.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on amorphous steel plant equipment.
  • Ensure workstations are tidy and clean, adhering to 5S principles, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Notify supervisors of any non-conformities, equipment breakdowns, or defects that may impact operations.

Requirements:

  • Secondary School Diploma (SSD) or equivalent.
  • DVS in electromechanics or equivalent technical certification.
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Manual dexterity and interest in manual work.
  • Team spirit and collaboration.
  • Priority management, rigor, and organizational skills.
  • Safe behavior, prioritization of health and safety.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts (Monday to Friday, one week during the day, then one week during the evening, alternating).
