Role Summary: Amorphous Steel Coremaker
The primary function of the amorphous steel coremaker is to execute equipment setup, adjustments, and maintenance while producing amorphous cores in alignment with specified standards and procedures. This role emphasizes adherence to raw material compliance and maintaining production quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and fine-tune equipment.
- Produce amorphous steel cores following relevant specifications and protocols.
- Verify compliance of raw materials and uphold production quality.
- Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery.
- Program and adjust equipment settings as necessary.
- Complete self-check forms to confirm raw materials and process compliance.
- Operate lifting equipment to supply raw materials during production.
- Document essential information, such as the weight of the amorphous core, in accordance with established procedures.
- Shape the core as per established guidelines, ensuring proper identification and attachment.
- Transfer the finished product to the subsequent stage of production.
- Maintain equipment functionality through regular upkeep (lubrication, part replacement, etc.).
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment within the amorphous steel facility.
- Ensure work areas are organized and clean, adhering to 5S principles and safety standards.
- Alert supervisors to any discrepancies, equipment failures, or defects that may disrupt operations.
Qualifications for Success:
- Secondary School Diploma (SSD) or equivalent (AESS) - Required.
- DVS in electromechanics or equivalent technical assessment from Siemens Energy.
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Basic proficiency in computer operations.
- Manual dexterity and a preference for hands-on work.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Effective priority management, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to safety and health protocols.
- Availability for rotating shifts (Monday to Friday, alternating between day and evening shifts).
