About the Role

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director, Research and Analytics to join our Insight and Donor Experience team. This critical leadership role is responsible for driving research and analytics strategies that underpin the organization's donor base and registrant growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage data-driven insights to inform and enhance strategies aimed at expanding the organization's donor network, increasing engagement, and achieving substantial growth in registrations.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive reporting framework, ensuring consistency and clarity across various initiatives.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the research and analytics team, including data analysts, data scientists, and researchers, ensuring that all efforts are focused on supporting the organization's growth objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure that research and analytics efforts are aligned with the organization's growth targets and are integrated into broader strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and implement effective performance management practices, setting clear objectives and evaluating team performance against growth-related goals.
  • Champion the adoption of cutting-edge tools, methodologies, and technologies that enhance the organization's ability to scale its donor base and increase registrations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Market Research, Business Analytics, or a related field required. A Ph.D. is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in research, analytics, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Substantial experience using research and analytics to drive Business-to-Business (B2B) and/or Business-to-Consumer (B2C) strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and developing high-performing teams in a complex organizational environment, particularly in roles focused on growth.
  • Specific experience in strategy and financial analysis is an asset.
  • Proven capabilities in leading large-scale initiatives.
  • Proven customer relationship management skills with a strong ability to manage internal relationships.

Work Environment

This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location at least 40% of the time/days of the week. Occasional travel to attend meetings may be required.
