Join Our Team as a Janitorial Services Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Janitorial Services Associate. As a Janitorial Services Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our store, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our customers and colleagues.

Job Summary

The Janitorial Services Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including sweeping and cleaning the main retail and Automotive Service Centre area floor, cleaning windows, polishing chrome railings, and emptying garbage bins. You will also be responsible for disinfecting and cleaning washrooms, including stalls, mirrors, walls, toilets, floors, and sink areas. Additionally, you will be responsible for cleaning office floors, dusting desks, and emptying garbage and recycle bins.

Responsibilities

  1. Sweep and clean the main retail and Automotive Service Centre area floor.
  2. Clean the windows.
  3. Polish the chrome railings at the front of the store.
  4. Empty exterior and interior garbage bins, including in washrooms.
  5. Disinfect and clean the washrooms, including stalls, mirrors, walls, toilets, floors, and sink areas.
  6. Clean the office floors, dust desks, and empty garbage and recycle bins.
  7. Clean locker and staff room floors, countertops/sinks, appliances, and tables.
  8. Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained regularly.
  9. Remove snow from front entrance and exit and emergency exits.
  10. Strip and buff floors, as required.

Requirements

  • Experience in a janitorial/custodial or maintenance role.
  • Result-oriented.
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, using a ladder, twisting, turning, and reaching.
  • Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt, and cope with challenging situations and make decisions.
  • Attention to detail.

Estimated Salary Range: $40,000 - $55,000 per year
