Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Rebar Detailer Trainee to join our team at Harris Rebar. As a Rebar Detailer Trainee, you will be responsible for developing working knowledge of AutoCAD and the basics of our detailing system (RebarCAD). You will also assist in detailing simple projects, reviewing and verifying contract documents, and communicating with customers and placers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop working knowledge of AutoCAD and RebarCAD detailing system
  • Detail simple projects with little or no assistance
  • Review and verify contract documents
  • Communicate with customers and placers
  • Assist in processing change orders and maintaining deliveries
  • Participate in weekly meetings to discuss safety, innovative ideas, and workloads
Requirements
  • Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting or currently enrolled
  • Two-year technical diploma from an accredited school or college
  • At least six months experience with AutoCAD and Windows-based software
  • Ability to read architectural/engineering blueprints
  • Ability to work as a team member and problem-solve
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
