- Coordinate Cleaning Activities: Plan and coordinate the cleaning schedule, ensuring that all areas of the facility are cleaned to a high standard.
- Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets for cleaning supplies and equipment, as well as estimate costs for future cleaning projects.
- Assist Cleaners: Provide support and guidance to cleaning staff as needed, ensuring that they have the necessary resources to complete their tasks.
- Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as facilities management and maintenance, to ensure that cleaning activities are aligned with overall facility goals.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for cleaning staff, ensuring that all areas of the facility are covered.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a cleaning or facilities management role.
- Work Environment: Wet/damp, noisy, odours, dusty, dangerous, and dirty environments.
- Work Setting: Office building, cleaning service company, and school or educational institution/establishment.
- Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, judgement, and reliability.
