Job Description:Responsibilities:
  • Administer massage techniques to alleviate pain and discomfort, using soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, and joint mobilizations.
  • Apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body to promote relaxation and reduce muscle tension.
  • Explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients, ensuring they are fully informed and comfortable throughout the treatment.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments given, including client information and treatment plans.
  • Provide education and guidance on self-care techniques and exercises to promote ongoing wellness.
Requirements:
  • Certification by a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists.
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform massage therapy services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and healthcare professionals.
Work Environment:
