Job Title: Household Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Household Assistant to join our team at Rae Jessiman. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our home.

Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
  • Household Chores: Stock linen closet, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, pick up debris, and empty trash containers.
  • Laundry and Ironing: Launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens.
  • Shopping and Errands: Shop for food and household supplies.
  • General Assistance: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
  • Work Setting: Employer's home.
  • Transportation: Own vehicle and valid driver's license required.
  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, organized, reliability, and honesty.
Security and Safety:
  • Criminal Record Check: Required.
  • Reference: Required.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
