Job Title: DZ Delivery Driver

EMCO Corporation is seeking a reliable and skilled DZ Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up products at customer and vendor locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the EMCO truck safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies, traffic laws, and provincial regulations.
  • Load and unload products at the Profit Centre and customer locations, ensuring proper equipment is available.
  • Secure loads to prevent damage or loss during transit.
  • Complete pre-trip inspections and report any mechanical issues to management.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs throughout the day.
  • Understand and follow shipping documents, including GHS, to ensure accurate delivery.
  • Unload products at customer locations and obtain signatures upon delivery.
  • Resolve shipping discrepancies and provide excellent customer service.
  • Load and unload products at other locations, including vendors and returns.
  • Provide sales leads by noting prospective customers during deliveries.
  • Support all Profit Centre activities and follow safety regulations at all locations.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college or university degree an asset.
  • Valid DZ driver's license.
  • Clean driver's abstract demonstrating good driving skills.
  • 3+ years of experience driving a truck and making deliveries.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing driving motor vehicles and commercial vehicles.
  • Understanding of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.
  • Ability to safely operate a delivery vehicle.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates.
  • Able to remain calm and function effectively in stressful situations.
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience with plumbing or building products sold at the Profit Centre.
  • HIAB Boom experience.
