**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer II to join our Infrastructure Engineering team at Carta. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for building and scaling our internal platform offerings (compute, storage, and networking services) to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications.

You will design and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems, and collaborate with application software engineers to guide their design and ensure it scales for what Carta needs in the long run.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud services, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure, and proficiency in using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

You will also have experience with networking concepts, containerization, and service mesh technologies, and strong proficiency in monitoring tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.

Key Responsibilities:*

  1. Build and scale our internal platform offerings (compute, storage, and networking services).
  2. Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems.
  3. Collaborate with application software engineers to guide their design and ensure it scales.
  4. Act as an agent of change and drive innovation in our systems.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with cloud services, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
