About the Role

The Enterprise Data Office at CMHC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Quality Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support in executing data profiling activities and deriving insights from data analysis. You will also develop and maintain data quality rules, ensuring that testing on the rules is performed, and support root cause analysis for data quality issues, resulting remediation plans, and their execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide scoping assistance in collecting and analyzing information to establish the effort required to deliver a business use case, initiative, or project, the risk involved, and the value added to the business.
  • Execute data profiling assessments and provide insights to data stewards and business stakeholders on the quality of the data.
  • Define data quality rules needed to meet data quality business requirements to achieve a specific business intended purpose.
  • Develop and maintain data quality standards, ensuring they are in alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.
  • Support and provide insights to data stakeholders on displaying data quality metrics and validating their values, recommending ongoing enhancements to methods and models to lead to insights.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to enhance data quality tools and processes.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in computer science or another related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the field of data.
  • Demonstrated experience of data governance and management (data classification, data profiling, data inventory, data catalog, and data lineage, including mapping).
  • Experience with Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, and/or Data Analysis tools.
  • Understanding of data governance principles and data management processes (including data management lifecycle).
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
