Job Summary

The Laboratory Services Analyst performs GMP-compliant microbiological testing to support in-process manufacturing, raw material or product release, stability studies, and environmental monitoring. This role also involves testing to support assay and process validations, as well as the release of lab-specific materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory procedures, including data analysis and review
  • Receive and test samples, ensuring accurate and timely results
  • Prepare, test, and release materials used for QC testing, such as media and standards
  • Document laboratory work in accordance with GxP requirements
  • Maintain laboratory records and inventory for supplies and reagents
  • Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary work area, adhering to standard laboratory practices and procedures
  • Initiate investigation reports, attaching required documentation
  • Adhere to all effective STM's/SOPs and safety requirements
  • Prepare and autoclave supplies and garbage

Requirements

  • University degree or technical diploma in microbiology, biology, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical cGMP environment
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety precautions
  • WHMIS and biohazard safety awareness
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Able to interpret analytical data and adapt to changing priorities
