Job Summary

We are seeking a permanent part-time Nutrition Specialist to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital in Penticton, BC.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will earn an estimated salary of $40.75 to $50.87 per hour, with opportunities for reimbursement of registration or membership fees through the Interior Health Authority. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, municipal pension plan, employee and family assistance program, and employer-paid training/education opportunities.

Job Description

As a Nutrition Specialist, you will provide nutrition services through assessment, care planning, charting, intervention, goal setting, and monitoring. You will also develop and implement education programs, consult with multidisciplinary care teams, and act as a resource to other healthcare professionals. Your input will be valued in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures, research initiatives, and quality improvement projects.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize clinical techniques and knowledge to provide nutrition services
  • Develop and implement education programs for patients, families, and healthcare staff
  • Consult with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Act as a resource to other healthcare professionals on nutrition-related matters
  • Contribute to the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures
