The RoleWe are seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Cardiology Technologist, you will perform high-quality diagnostic electrocardiographic procedures independently to assist physicians with the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform stress testing of Nuclear Cardiology patients under the supervision of a physician.
- Provide the physician with a tracing of the patient's ECG, blood pressure, and heart rate before and during the stress test.
- Conduct tests in accordance with CSCT and KMH's protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Instruct or aid patients on stress testing and other equipment, using proper patient positioning technique and equipment setting to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Apply independent judgment and critical thinking during the examination to ensure that all appropriate data is captured during the test.
- Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition and ensure examination rooms are properly supplied, equipped, and operational before, during, and after each shift.
- Ensure all equipment is well maintained and in good working order and assist in maintaining a current inventory of routine supplies.
- Work with cross-functional teams and other KMH staff to assist with patient care.
- Attend team meetings and updates.
- Maintain continuous professional development in ECG through self-study, including attending courses or seminars.
We offer a competitive rate, Work Perks, KMH Fit program wellness initiatives, and the opportunity for growth. This is a part-time role scheduled for 2-3 days per week between Monday-Saturday. Shifts are typically scheduled during 8.00 a.m.-4.00/4.30 p.m.
RequirementsCSCT certification is required. Immunizations and background checks are also required.
