About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Vahagn's Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Process Transactions: Scan items, calculate total payments, and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment.
  • Work as a Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, maintain a clean store environment, and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, excellent oral communication, team player, and reliable.
