Job Summary:

1102 CSC Canada is seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team in Vancouver, BC. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our employees and clients, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT and AV infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and assistance to employees and clients, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of our IT and AV infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of IT and AV projects.
  • Manage and maintain video conferencing meeting rooms, including Microsoft Teams and QSC systems.
  • Assist users in scheduling and conducting virtual meetings, webinars, and remote training sessions.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues, audio/video quality, and screen sharing problems.
  • Initiate support cases with vendors and manage until resolved.
  • Work with vendors remotely to troubleshoot and schedule visits and escort vendors when they are onsite.
  • Assist with other IT-related tasks, including desktop and mobile support, proactive AV testing, software and firmware upgrades, documenting processes and procedures, and IT inventory and asset management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in IT support and AV infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and QSC systems.
  • Experience with video conferencing and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with IT project management.
  • Experience with server room maintenance and cabling.
  • Experience with large event support.

Work Environment:

Office environment - 100% on-site Vancouver, BC.
