About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at PHO TAN KY THAI & VIETNAMESE CUSINE INC. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and food safety.
  • Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, and pans, and ensure they are stored properly.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of food items, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
  • Stock Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure the kitchen is kept clean and organized.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment, including appliances and utensils.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Availability: Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
